Annual Achievement Awards -Purpose

  • To celebrate the various academic milestones achieved by currently enrolled students.
  • To motivate students to strive for higher achievements.

Annual Achievement Awards -Criteria

Students have to be currently enrolled during the month of January and have satisfied one or more of the following conditions by Dec 31:

  • Those who have studied less than 12 months and have advanced three or more levels in Kumon.
  • Those who have studied more than 12 months and have advanced one or more levels in each succeeding year, in addition to the three levels in the first year.
  • Those who have put in consistent daily study effort for at least one year.
  • Those who are on Kumon Advanced Student Honor Roll published in March, June, September and December.
  • Those who have achieved special Kumon milestones: (G-level by grade 5, J-level by grade 7, M-level by grade 9, completion of J - O in math or J - L levels in reading).

Medals and Trophies are given in our Annual Awards Ceremony to honor the achievements of our students.

Medals: 12 months study

  • Gold medal: advanced 5+ levels
  • Silver medal: advanced 4+ levels
  • Bronze medal: advanced 3+ levels

Math & Reading Completion awards:

Our Kumon Centers award our students who completed the Math Program(level O) with a $1000 series EE U.S. Savings Bond and the Reading Program(Level L) with a $500 U.S Series EE US Savings Bond.

Award Ceremony:

Awards are given to recognize Kumon students who have progressed in math and/or reading studies beyond their school grade level, or who have made other significant achievements in their Kumon study.
